The track
We look for dancers who demonstrate technical preparation, musicality, spatial awareness, interpretive clarity, commitment, and the potential to communicate through movement.
The Dance division supports young artists in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz dance, and other concert dance forms.
Presentation formats are developed according to the dancer's style, age, readiness, repertoire, and the practical requirements of the venue or project.
Program development may include
Audition requirements
A technical or class-based sample, and a solo, variation, or choreographic work. 3–5 min + 2–5 min
A technical or class-based sample demonstrating foundation appropriate to the principal form. It may include barre, center work, across-the-floor material, combinations, or another discipline-appropriate technical sequence.
A solo, variation, or choreographic work demonstrating interpretation, musicality, movement quality, spatial awareness, and performance presence. Pointe work should be submitted only by dancers already training safely on pointe under qualified supervision.
The committee evaluates technique, coordination, musicality, movement quality, interpretation, spatial awareness, individuality, preparation, and growth potential.
