A meaningful next step

A young artist's growth is shaped not only by lessons and practice, but by the quality of the opportunities through which their work is shared.

AYA Youth is the youth division of the American Young Artists Association, created to support dedicated young artists in instrumental music, voice, and dance.

Through individualized artistic planning, thoughtfully curated performance opportunities, professional concert production, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration, we help young artists deepen their craft and grow with confidence, discipline, and artistic integrity.

AYA Youth is not a recreational class and does not replace a participant's primary teacher, studio, or conservatory. It is designed to complement existing study with carefully planned artistic and performance experiences.

Find your pathway

Four disciplines, tailored by tradition.

Each discipline carries its own technical requirements and performance practice. Audition expectations and artistic pathways are shaped by discipline, never by a single standardized model.

What makes AYA Youth different

Individual before formula.

I.

Individualized Planning

Each artistic plan is developed according to the participant's discipline, level, repertoire, goals, and readiness — never a single template.

II.

Professional Production

A performance is more than a date. We consider program design, venue, rehearsal needs, event flow, and the artist's developmental stage.

III.

Collaboration Across Disciplines

Selected projects bring together musicians, singers, dancers, and established artists in shared performance settings.

IV.

Professional Standards

Young artists meet professional expectations in an age-appropriate, supported way — preparation, rehearsal etiquette, stage presence.

V.

A Community with Purpose

Part of the broader AYA community, where artistic excellence, cultural exchange, and meaningful opportunity are central.

VI.

A Long-Term Perspective

Each performance and project is treated as part of a larger artistic journey, not an isolated appearance.

The AYA Youth experience

More than a performance opportunity.

Accepted young artists may be supported with a coherent pathway connecting preparation, presentation, collaboration, and continued growth.

  • Prepared to submit audition materials
