Technical foundation, interpretive depth, and thoughtful programming for dedicated young musicians.

The track

For young musicians developing the technical command, musical understanding, and interpretive maturity required for advanced study and public performance.

Applications are welcomed from pianists, string players, woodwind players, brass players, percussionists, harpists, classical guitarists, organists, and performers on other classical instruments where appropriate opportunities are available.

AYA works in coordination with the artist's existing teacher whenever appropriate. The program does not replace regular private instruction — it complements it with curated artistic and performance experiences.

Repertoire notes

Orchestral instrumentalists may optionally include one or two standard excerpts in addition to the required solo selections. Choose repertoire you can present with confidence rather than material selected solely for difficulty.

The committee evaluates tone, rhythm, intonation, technique, musical structure, phrasing, interpretation, preparation, and artistic communication.
